Columbia Police investigators are working to determine the circumstances and motive surrounding a deadly shooting that happened near Garners Ferry Road last night.
When officers were dispatched to the 7300 block of Patterson Road shortly before 9:30 p.m., they found the victim with no signs of life in the parking lot.
According to Richland County Coroner Gary Watts, 28-year-old Marvin Venson Webber died from a gunshot wound to the upper body.
Investigators are following up on the possibility that three males were with the victim prior to the shooting.
