Burglary and Theft Investigation at SC Forestry Commission

Columbia Police Investigators are reviewing surveillance video to determine the identity of the man accused of breaking into a SC Forestry Commission property and stealing several expensive items.

The crimes happened before 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 5500 Broad River Road.

The male suspect is accused of stealing several thousand dollars worth of tools and equipment, a black 2004 Ford Explorer, and damaging state vehicles while breaking into them.

A SC license plate, AMF-893 was also taken from an employee’s vehicle which was parked on the property.
