Update: Burglary Suspect Faces Additional Charges

The 41-year-old man accused of breaking into three South Columbia businesses now faces additional charges.

Jason Paul Jackson will be charged with Trespassing and Larceny. Yesterday when he was arrested, property crimes investigators charged him with Three Counts of Burglary – Second Degree, Larceny and Two Counts of Grand Larceny.

The recent charges stem from an incident that happened on May 5, 2017 shortly after midnight at the 2911 block of Millwood Avenue. Jackson is accused of stealing an air compressor from the location.

Jackson is also accused of breaking into the following businesses and stealing various items:

The Local Buzz (141 S. Shandon Street) 5/13/17: Electronics and money.

Ole Timey Meat Market (3718 Rosewood Drive) 5/14/17 : Money, meat and a lawn care tool.

Roof Top Pizza (4427 Rosewood Drive) 5/15/17: Electronics and multiple bottles of liquor.

Jackson is currently housed at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

All persons arrested/charged are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
