Update: Crimestoppers: Pedestrian Injured during Hit and Run Incident

Columbia Police Department officers want to identify and locate the driver and/or passengers of a dark-colored vehicle in connection with a hit and run incident involving a pedestrian.

A 27-year-old female was injured shortly after 11:30 p.m.  (June 1, 2017) at the 1200 block of Taylor Street.

Witnesses tell CPD that a car was speeding in the westbound lane and hit the victim, causing her to fall to the ground. The driver is accused of not stopping or rendering aid to the injured victim.

Preliminary information indicates that the passenger’s side of the car struck the victim before leaving the scene.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for her injuries which include broken bones. At the time of the incident, the vehicle involved in the incident was described by witnesses on scene as a white BMW sedan.

Since then, CPD has learned that the occupant (s) of the pictured dark car may have material information that can aid investigators with the case. Investigators continue to verify all information.
