Crimestoppers: Surveillance Pictures Released of Armed Robbery & Auto Theft Suspects

Columbia Police officers are investigating an armed robbery and assault incident that resulted in a car theft earlier this week.

Investigators are releasing surveillance pictures of three suspects wanted in connection with the crime that occurred on Providence Street on June 20, 2017.

The male victim reports that three males approached him at gunpoint and demanded his car, wallet, cell phone and watch at approximately 2:30 a.m. Even though the victim complied with the demands, one suspect hit the man in the head with the gun. The victim was not seriously injured and refused EMS.

One of the suspects shot the gun in the air before driving away in the car. No one was injured.

The stolen car, a white 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee was found abandoned on Falling Springs Road on the same day.

The suspects appear to be young, possibly between 14 and 16-years-old.
