CPD Update: Persons of Interest Sought in Hotel Shooting Investigation

Columbia Police Investigators are now seeking the identities and whereabouts of three male persons of interest in connection with this morning’s hotel shooting.

Investigators believe that the three males seen in surveillance pictures were at the Baymont Inn and Suites at the time the 22-year-old female victim was shot.  Officers believe the men have material information that can help move the case forward.

In the meantime, the victim remains in critical but stable condition at a local hospital.

Officers were dispatched to 240 East Exchange Boulevard around 3:30 this morning (June 26) after hotel employees called 9-1-1.

Investigators have spent several hours conducting interviews and collecting potential evidence from the crime scene.
