Columbia Police Department (CPD) Investigators are searching for a teenager who’s accused of shooting a male this past Spring on Booker Street. Three co-defendants are currently at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center (ASGDC) charged in connection with the crime.

Active Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime arrest warrants have been entered in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database for  18-year-old Jeremiah Maxwell (DOB: 10-4-1998).

Maxwell is accused of shooting the victim, who was driving along the 2700 block of Booker Street on April 20, 2017. The male victim was injured in the hip and as a result, drove into an abandoned house. It’s believed that the isolated crime stems from an on-going argument between the victim and suspects.
