Video: Person of Interest Sought in Attempted Murder Investigation

Columbia Police investigators are working to identify a person of interest who may have material information regarding a weekend shooting in Five Points.

At this time, it is not believed that anyone was physically injured or property was damaged during the incident which occurred after 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017.

The surveillance video shows a male firing multiple shots at traffic in the area of 1001 Harden Street, and running across the road before leaving the scene.

While officers continue to investigate the motive for the shooting, it appears that an occupied, light-colored truck may have been the intended target.
