The Columbia Police Department’s (CPD) Traffic Safety Unit continues to investigate a collision that caused a car to crash into a parking garage at the 1300 block of Taylor Street this afternoon.
At this time, officers believe the driver of the red car swerved to avoid hitting another car that was exiting the parking garage. The car failed to yield to on-coming traffic and the driver did not stop.
As a result, the driver of the red car crashed into the lower brick portion of the parking garage and fence at Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital. There were no reported injuries during the incident.
