Arrest Made in Two Notch Road Hit and Run Investigation

By February 9, 2018Press Releases

Traffic Safety Unit officers (TSU) have arrested a 72-year-old man in connection with last night’s life-threatening hit and run collision involving a moped.

William Washington (DOB: 6-3-1945) is charged Felony Hit and Run and Failure to Render Aid and Provide Information. A Crimestoppers tip assisted with today’s arrest.

Washington will be booked at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center (ASGDC).

Investigators believe that Washington was driving an Oldsmobile along the 3400 block of Two Notch Road shortly after 5:30 last night when he hit the female victim.

She and her male friend were initially ejected from the moped driven by an unknown suspect in a dark GMC Yukon.  (pictured below). The male victim was not seriously injured.

Both Washington and the other driver left the scene of the incident and failed to notify police about the collision.

CPD is releasing additional surveillance pictures of the Yukon.  It appears that it’s missing a hubcap on the rear passenger’s side.

Citizens who can lead CPD to the Yukon and/or driver/passengers are encouraged to contact Crimestoppers in any ways:
