A man who was reported missing last month was found deceased over the weekend.
Kyakers located the body in the Broad River near River Hill Circle on Saturday. The Columbia Fire Department and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department’s Dive Teams helped recover the body.
The Richland County Coroner’s Office has positively identified the man as 24-year-old Charlie Thomas Nguyen. He was reported missing by a relative on May 30, 2018.
According to Coroner Gary Watts, Nguyen’s death was due to probable drowning.
