Columbia Police Department Partners with Camp Wonder Hands for Annual Softball Game

WHO: Columbia Police Department, Camp Wonder Hands staff and camp participants.

WHAT: Camp Wonder Hands hosts an annual soft ball game for campers to have an opportunity to meet and interact with officers while enjoying a positive experience with hitting, base running and scoring. The CPD K-9 Team will perform a demonstration following the softball game.

WHEN: Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 9 – 10:30 a.m.

About Camp Wonder Hands

Camp Wonder Hands is a five-day, four-night camp for children ages 7-15, who are deaf and hard-of-hearing. Held at Camp Kinard, near Batesburg- Leesville, South Carolina, the camp is a program of Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital. Each camper attends on a scholarship provided by Children’s Hospital or private, civic and corporate donations. There is no cost to the family.
