Crimestoppers | Stabbing Investigation

Columbia Police Department (CPD) officers continue to investigate a weekend stabbing incident in North Columbia.

The incident occurred at 2417 Kent Street shortly after 5:00 p.m. on July 8, 2018. As a result, a 33-year-old victim remains at a local hospital with life-threatening injuries to his upper body.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found the victim on the outside of the residence with serious injuries and several people attempting to render aid.  Officers immediately applied first aid from a department-issued medical kit until EMS arrived and took the victim to the hospital.

Investigators are working to determine the motive for the stabbing incident, specifically the person or persons responsible.
