Motorcycle Collision | 600 Block of Bush River Road

The Columbia Police Department’s (CPD) Traffic Safety Unit is investigating a motorcycle collision that occurred this morning in North Columbia.

The 9:00 a.m. incident at the 600 block of Bush River Road involved three vehicles.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the male motorcycle victim was struck by a vehicle after the driver, (27-year-old Gregory Tucker) allegedly failed to yield the right of way. Tucker has since been cited with Failure to Yield the Right of Way, Operating an Uninsured Vehicle and (having an) Expired Tag.

The impact caused the motorcycle victim to hit the front of the vehicle and land on the windshield of a third vehicle.

The motorcycle rider suffered from several broken bones and other serious injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

All persons arrested/charged are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
