Crimestoppers: Burglary and Assault Investigation

Columbia Police Department (CPD) Investigators are releasing a composite sketch of a possible suspect in connection with a recent home burglary and assault investigation.

The incident happened on October 30, 2019 at an Ardincaple Drive home at approximately 10:30 a.m.

The male suspect forced his way into the elderly female victim’s home and began physically assaulting her. The victim was able to defend herself and call out to a relative who was in another room. At the time of the incident, the victim did not require medical attention at the scene.

The sketch, courtesy of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) may resemble the suspect who is described as being a thin 20-25-year-old black male, standing 5’11 who was reportedly wearing a blue hoodie.
