Additional Arrest in Pulaski Street Murder Investigation

** UPDATE **

Columbia Police Department (CPD) investigators have arrested a third suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old female at Greene Crossing Apartments from March.

CPD and members of the United States Marshals Service’s Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Trajan Mack at a Wilson Boulevard gas station yesterday.

At the time of the arrest, Mack was out on bond for a murder that occurred in 2016 in Richland County.

The 23-year-old is housed at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center charged with Pointing and Presenting (a Firearm).  A judge set a $50,000 surety bond.

Mack is accused of pointing a firearm towards a crowd of people in a hallway inside the complex at 810 Pulaski Street on March 13, 2022.

Previous Arrests:

23-year-old Kejuan Boyce and 24-year-old Dennis Williams were previously arrested in connection with the case. Boyce is charged with Murder & Possession of a Firearm during a Violent Crime. Boyce is accused of fatally shooting Jamaica Dowling on during a party at the complex that was initially advertised on social media.

Williams is charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder and Breach of Peace (Aggravated in Nature). Williams is accused of witnessing Boyce fire multiple rounds down a hallway inside the complex.

Williams is further accused of firing a weapon at a moving vehicle in the parking lot of the incident location, and driving Boyce away from the crime scene. Williams failed to render aid to Ms. Dowling and didn’t call police to report the incident.

Investigators believe that multiple people went to the party armed with firearms, handguns and what is described as assault-style weapons. Officers who were dispatched to the scene arrived to active gunfire, confusion and chaos. Partygoers ran out of the apartment in an attempt to safely leave the area.

It is believed that the shooting stemmed from an argument inside of the apartment.

All persons arrested/charged are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
