Columbia Police Department officers have arrested a 13-year-old female in connection with the fatal stabbing of her 18-year-old brother.
On April 9, 2023, at approximately 9:30 a.m., CPD officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Willow Street for a reported assault. When they arrived, they found the victim inside the home with a life-threatening injury to his upper body. An officer rendered medical aid to the victim until EMS arrived.
The juvenile suspect was arrested on scene and questioned at CPD Headquarters before being taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center (ASGDC) charged with Murder.
Investigators believe that the juveniles argued moments before the stabbing occurred.
All persons arrested/charged are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
