Crimestoppers | Armed Robbery Investigations

Columbia Police investigators are releasing surveillance pictures of two armed robbery suspects to aid in their identification and arrests.

The men are accused of demanding money and cigarettes from and threatening the life of the store clerk at gunpoint at the Li’l Cricket gas station shortly before 10:30 p.m. on August 15, 2018.

No one was injured during the incident.

A similar armed robbery occurred a few days before (August 11)  at approximately 11:30 a.m. at the Gaz-Bah gas station at 3923 West Beltline Boulevard.

A man resembling the armed robbery suspect from the Li’l Cricket (in the black T-shirt), is accused of threatening the shoot the store clerk if she didn’t comply with his demands to hand over cash.

Investigators are working to determine if the same suspect (s) are connected to both crimes.

Additionally, CPD is partnering with the Forest Acres Police and Richland County Sheriff’s Departments on similar armed robbery incidents.
