Columbia-Richland Alerts for Hurricane Florence

The City of Columbia and Richland County have partnered and created multiple ways for citizens to receive (CRA) Columbia-Richland Alerts.

The (CRA) Columbia-Richland Alerts is an alert program designed to provide citizens with time-sensitive information.

The types of messages citizens can receive from the CRA system are public safety, community events, water/sewer, severe weather, public meetings/hearings, traffic safety, street closures and community awareness. Citizens can receive these alerts through text messages, email (personal/work), home phone, business phone, cell phone and other devices.

The Columbia-Richland 9-1-1 will be distributing information through the (CRA) Columbia-Richland Alerts system about Hurricane Florence to raise awareness to all citizens of Columbia and Richland County.

The City of Columbia encourages all residents of the Columbia and Richland County to register for these alerts.
